EVA Scotland Parking Disc

Learn about our new Parking Disc and [optional] Text Service.

Thanks for being a Full Member of EVA Scotland. You are entitled to use our Parking Disc text service to allow other drivers to send you a message if you are charging, and are willing to move your vehicle if requested.

How does it work?

As a Full Member you will have (or will shortly) receive an EVA Scotland parking disc. On the disc is a space for your unique EVA Scotland Charge ID. The special ID number allows other drivers to text you (anonymously) and ask if you are willing to return to your vehicle to allow them to charge, more urgently.

On the occasions when you are charging at a public chargepoint, and are willing to return to your vehicle if requested then place the disc, with your unique code, visible in the dashboard.

There will be times when you will not wish to, or be able to, return to your vehcile. On those occasions simply do not use the parking disc.

What happens when someone wants to charge?

A waiting driver can text your unique code, prefixed by the word "CHARGE" to the number 66777. We will then lookup your mobile phone number in our database, matching the unique code, and send you a message saying that a driver wishes to charge. You can then reply "CHARGE YES" if you can return to your vehicle, or "CHARGE NO" if you're unable to return on this occasion. The waiting driver will receive your reply and will act accordingly.

At no point do you recevie their mobile number, nor do they know yours — it is an anonymous service.
